This program supports food recovery groups in the Basin with infrastructure and equipment upgrades. It provides funding to non-profits, local governments and First Nations for projects that will help their organization safely recover, store, prepare and distribute more food to people who need it. Funding can be used for renovations and for purchasing equipment or infrastructure that improves safety, increases capacity or makes operations more efficient.
The program aligns with the Trust’s focus on fostering healthy and resilient communities by improving access to nutritious food and increasing opportunities for residents to learn about and access affordable, healthy food.
