The Kimberley Community Fall Fair is an annual community event on September 21-22, 2024, that brings together local vendors and surrounding communities. The Fair is run by volunteers and the money raised is donated back to local non-profit groups involved with the organization.
The Rossland Historical Museum and Archives Association will host a free, family-friendly Arts and Culture Festival on September 14 and 15, 2024. This vibrant event will showcase the region’s talented artists and craftspeople, featuring delicious food and live music.
The Slocan Park Community Hall Society will be hosting its annual Christmas Craft Fair on November 24, 2024, attracting residents from throughout the region.
The Cranbrook Farmer’s Market Society is hosting a 2 day Winter Market at Western Financial Place on November 30 and December 1st, 2024 that will feature 165 local farmers, artisans, community groups and non-profits, small businesses and food producers.
Aqanttanam Housing Society will redevelop the Claydon Villa site, in particular redeveloping 12 units, and adding 10 new units, for a total of 22 affordable rental housing units in Cranbrook.
The Fernie Mountain Film Festival Society will host it’s annual Mountain Film Festival on February 14 and 15, 2025.
To inspire reflection and discussion on outdoor recreation, Indigenous-led conservation, and connection via nature, the Wildsight Creston Valley Branch will host the Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival on February 21, 2025.

The Resident Directed Grants (ReDi) Program is a community-based granting program that incorporates local input in the adjudication process. ReDi is delivered on behalf of the Trust by the Regional Districts of Central Kootenay, East Kootenay, Kootenay Boundary, Town of Golden, City of Revelstoke, Village of Valemount, aqam, akisqnuk, Yaqan Nukiy, Yaqit aknuqi ‘it, and Shuswap Band.

The Argenta Fall Faire is one of the most important community events of the year, bringing together farmers, local artisans, food producers and community members with food and music on September 21, 2024.
The project will increase the Argenta Community Hall’s ability to serve as a place of refuge by providing a space with clean filtered air, a water purification system, accessibility improvements, and securing an alternative power supply in the event of a power outage.
The Argenta Community Association will host its annual Argenta Christmas Market on November 30, 2024, featuring local vendors, local food and square dancing with a local band. Then they will host their community Christmas Dinner on December 21, 2024.
Arrow Lakes Pastoral Charge will complete energy retrofits at Robertson Memorial United Church located at 119 NW 3rd Avenue in Nakusp, a building that is also used as a community meeting space and emergency warming centre, to increase their energy efficiency and reduce green house gas emissions.

The Nelson Civic Theatre Society will celebrate Black History Month by showing a rotation of four films with Greg Marrast leading an interactive dialogue after each from February 14-28, 2025.
Bluebell Manor Society will improve the livability and quality of existing affordable rental housing units for seniors at Bluebell Manor in Riondel.
Blueberry Creek Community School Council will complete energy retrofits at Blueberry Creek Early Learning and Care Centre in Castlegar to increase their energy efficiency and reduce their GHG emissions.
Brent Kennedy Learning Centre will purchase an automated external defibrillator (AED) to support improved health and safety and improve 101 existing child care spaces in South Slocan, BC.
This project will support the Brisco Recreation Commission to update the Community Hall kitchen, storage, and entrance, and purchase children’s equipment.

Ktunaxa Nation Council Society will enhance cultural values and ecosystem resilience by reducing forest encroachment on 15 hectares and reintroducing fire to 90 hectares on Lot 48, located on the east side of Columbia Lake.
The project supports the collaborative efforts of the Syilx Okanagan Nation, Ktunaxa Nation, Secwépemc Nation, the Province of BC and the Government of Canada to explore the reintroduction of anadromous Salmon into the Canadian portion of the Columbia River Basin.

The Fernie Youth Action Network will support youth priorities, local activities and diverse opportunities for youth aged 12-18 years in Fernie, RDEK Area B and parts of RDEK Area A.
This project will support youth in hosting a series of cooking classes using local ingredients in Fernie.
FibreFeelia will be held in New Denver, June 28-30, 2025, uniting fibre producers and hobbyists, and drawing visitors and participants from across the region as well as BC and Alberta.

The Trust is donating to each of the food banks, First Nations communities and Metis communities in the Columbia Basin.

The Fun Field Festival is an annual music, arts & wellness festival that will take place in the Elko area from June 27-29, 2025. There will be live music, art, a wellness program & games/activity programs provided by local community groups.
Columbia Mountains Institute for Applied Ecology will host a Symposium from May 1-3, 2025, to create space for a multi-disciplinary group to tell stories, share knowledge and explore ideas and solutions for improving grassland and rangeland health in the East Kootenay.
Groundswell Network Society will host 4 Holiday evening events from December 13-21, 2024.
The Regional District of Kootenay Boundary will make improvements to Genelle Park, including new trails, a viewing platform, a dog park, a bike park, a picnic shelter, washrooms and a playing field.
