Congratulations on receiving funding from the Trust. Your efforts are helping create a legacy of social, economic and environmental well-being in Basin communities and we would love to be a part of your success. As your project proceeds, Trust staff members are available to help your organization share news of your project milestones and its impact.
Recognition
When you promote your Trust-supported project, initiative or event, acknowledge our contribution by mentioning the Trust on social media, on your website and in project-related news releases and promotional materials.
The type of recognition you provide will depend upon the nature of your project but could include some or all of the following:
Logo Use and Recognition Statement
Acknowledge the Trust’s support by including our logo on project-related signage and promotional materials, both printed and/or digitally produced.
Acknowledgement statements can also be included on these materials along with the logo, if there is room. Two examples are:
[Recipient] acknowledges the support of Columbia Basin Trust; or [Project Name] is made possible with support from Columbia Basin Trust.Social Media
When sharing and celebrating your project online, tag the Trust so we can engage with your content and help spread the word. Your organization can tag the Trust on social media by mentioning us and using #columbiabasintrust and #basinlife in your posts.

News Releases
Contact Trust Communications if your organization is issuing a project-related news release or holding an event. We may wish to include a quote/statement to support your news release and when possible, a Trust representative will attend project-related events and/or celebratory milestones.

Publications or Materials
If you are creating project-related materials such as news releases, posters, brochures, website copy or newsletters to build awareness about your project, consider recognizing the contribution of the Trust by including a logo or statement.

When will I know if a grant application was successful?
It may take up to eight weeks after the application deadline to hear about the funding decisions.
When will I receive a contract?
It may take up to four weeks to receive your contract after you have been approved. It will be emailed to the contacts listed in your application.
When will I receive payment of the grant?
Review your contract to see the payment schedule for your grant. You will receive an email notification when a payment cheque has been processed. The cheque will be mailed to the address of the legal entity for your Project.
How do I report on my project?
Review your contract to see the reporting schedule for your grant. The reporting templates may be found on the program page here or emailed to you with our final report reminder. Your project should be complete and all grant funding expended before you complete your final report.
My project has changed since it was approved. Is this acceptable?
We understand circumstances can change. No matter your issue, contact us as soon as possible to discuss the changes and determine the next steps. Find contact information by program here.
My project is taking longer than expected, what should I do?
Email your Trust contact with an update on your progress and a request to extend the final report date.
