Food Producer Wage Subsidy & Training Support
The Food Producer Wage Subsidy and Training Support program provides support to primary food producers in the Basin. The program will provide flexibility for eligible producers to hire and/or train employees as needed throughout the 2026 growing and harvesting season. This program helps increase Basin residents’ access to locally grown, healthy food.
NEW this year: Employers may apply for funding to support short-term occupational skills training that provides employees with the job-specific skills or certifications required for their roles.
Who Can Apply
Primary food producers that grow grains, vegetables, fruit or forage, produce honey, or raise livestock for meat, dairy, or eggs. This program is for food producers with farms and ownership located in the Columbia Basin Trust region.

Application Deadline
Applications will be reviewed and accepted on an ongoing basis until all funding for the Program has been committed.
