Columbia Basin Trust is moving forward with implementation of a proof of vaccination policy requiring staff and Board members to be fully vaccinated by the end of November.

The Trust is pausing work on Creston’s historic red grain elevator following a review of contractor bids that would result in significantly higher costs than originally budgeted. Further work will require additional partners and funding to move to the next phase.

Creston’s Fields Forward Society celebrated the opening of the Kootenay Farms Regional Food Hub and Innovation Centre on October 15.

Selkirk College students in Castlegar and Nelson will have more access to student housing as provincial funding for 148 beds in two new buildings has been approved. These new buildings will provide more on-campus housing options, while helping to reduce rental-market pressure in both communities.
