Urban Streams: Where Have We Come From and Do We Know Where We’re Going?
Transcription of a presentation given by Harold Paish during an urban streams workshop, March, 1997 at Douglas College in New Westminster, B.C. The speaker reflects on the involvement of public groups in the creation of the Creston Waterfowl Management Area during the Columbia River Treaty negotiations. Refers to citizen involvement and interest in Fish and Wildlife groups at the time of CRT negotiations and how that lead to recognition of the environmental value of the Creston Flats by the government of the day. Paish’s section begins on page 104.
