Non-Treaty Storage Agreement
“Non-Treaty storage refers to storage in Columbia River basin projects in Canada that is not required by the Columbia River Treaty. This includes 5 million acre-feet (Maf) in Mica reservoir, 0.262 Maf in Arrow, and storage in Revelstoke and Kootenay Lake. A 1990 Agreement on use of non-Treaty storage at Mica, Revelstoke, and Arrow shared the at-site and downstream power benefits between BPA and B.C. Hydro.
