Columbia River Basin Public Art Program
The Columbia River Basin Public Art Program supports local governments, non-profits and First Nations communities to create and display meaningful public art. Funding supports community led art projects that reflect each community’s unique relationship with the Columbia River and local watersheds, helping strengthen local identity and a shared sense of place. Communities choose the form and style of permanent artworks, which will be installed in widely accessible public spaces or buildings.
This program aligns with the Trust’s focus on healthy and resilient relationships, helping Basin residents understand they are connected through the Columbia River system, and by celebrating community through direct engagement.
This program is administered by the Columbia Kootenay Cultural Alliance.
