December 2 – Kaslo and Area Senior Citizens Christmas Lunch Gala, Kaslo

The Kaslo Senior Citizens’ Society will host a Christmas luncheon at the Kaslo Legion.

December 5 – December Light Up, Nakusp

Nakusp and area residents will enjoy the Celebration of Light, including lighting of the downtown Christmas tree, a Christmas parade, food, music and a variety of other family friendly activities.

December 5 – West Creston Hall Candy Cane Lane, Creston

Candy Cane Lane will be held the weekends of December 6-7 and 13-14, 2025, at the West Creston Community Hall, and includes a craft sale featuring local vendors, soup, hot chocolate, cookies, festive outdoor decorations and fire pits. Event Information.

December 6 – Winter Wonderland, Castlegar

The City of Castlegar, in partnership by the City of Castlegar and the Sunrise and Castlegar Rotary Clubs, is hosting Winter Wonderland to kick off the festive season with crafts, entertainment, food, photos with Santa, and the Habitat for Humanity Gingerbread House Contest.

December 6 – Cheesemas, Fernie

Cheesemas is an annual community event hosted at the Cirque restaurant at Fernie Alpine Resort with the goal of bringing people together in celebration of the Emily Brydon Fernie Foundation, it’s successes and in order to create awareness about what they do.

December 7 – Wasa Lions Christmas Event, Wasa

The Wasa and District Lions Club is hosting their annual Christmas Dinner and Dance on December 6th, 2025. The event brings together many community members as well as relatives and visitors from surrounding communities.

December 16 – Solstice Celebration Event, Nelson

The West Kootenay Women’s Association in Nelson will throw an inclusive Solstice celebration for all of their service clientele, families, and members.

December 28 – Winterfest, Wasa

The Wasa & District Lions Club is hosting their 2025 Winterfest December 28th, 2025 in Wasa. The annual event is a celebration of winter with skating, curling, and games for families.

December 31 – Syilx Fish in Schools (FinS) 2025

Support for the Syilx cultural ceremony and release of juvenile salmon to the Columbia and Slocan Rivers in 2025.
