April 4 – Wynndel Annual Easter Egg Hunt, RDCK Area A and Wynndel
The Wynndel Community Centre, along with the local Volunteer Fire Department and volunteer teens, will host their annual Easter Egg Hunt on April 4, 2026.

April 4 – West Creston Pancake Breakfast and Easter Egg Hunt, RDCL Area C and West Creston
The West Creston Community Hall Society will host a pancake breakfast followed by an Easter egg hunt for families in West Creston and area on April 4, 2026.

April 4 – Rossland Easter Egg Hunt, Rossland
The Rossland Museum will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt – a free event with special crafts, activities, family-friendly races, and egg hunts – on April 4, 2026.

April 5 – Salmo Valley Spring Celebration, Salmo
The Salmo Valley Youth & Community Centre will host a spring celebration and public easter egg hunt on April 5, 2026.

April 5 – Community Easter Egg Hunt, RDEK Area G and Edgewater
The Edgewater Legion will host the annual Community Easter Egg Hunt on April 5th, 2026.

April 5 – Easter Egg Hunt, Valemount
The Valemount Lions Club will host the annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Lions Hall, Valemount Museum, and Valemount Library on April 5, 2026, with a hot dog meal afterwards.

April 11 – Harmony, Peace and Unity Festival, Castlegar
The Global Symphony for a United World will host the 2026 Harmony, Peace & Unity Festival that will celebrate the Basin’s diverse cultures and creativity with family-friendly activities and performances by the Cottonwood Choir, the Friends of the Doukhobors Choir, the Twin Rivers Choir, Gilles Parenteau, and Gates.

April 16 – Death Cafe, Silverton
The New Denver Hospice Society will host a Death Café on April 14, 2026. This is a free event, providing warm food, conversation and connection around advanced care planning and end-of-life for all members of our community both young and old.

April 24 – Open Mic, New Denver
The Slocan Lake Arts Council (SLAC) will host an Open Mic event at the Knox Hall in New Denver on April 24, 2026. These events will provide an opportunity for audience members to perform any kind of art they practice, while ensuring it is welcoming, inclusive and non-judgmental.

The Castlegar & District Chamber of Commerce will host the West Kootenay Trade Show to showcase local businesses from April 24–26, 2026. Event Information.

April 25 – 2026 Bear Fair, Creston
The Trails for Creston Valley Society will host their second annual Bear Fair on April 25, 2026 at Centennial Park from 11 am – 3 pm. Bear Fair is a free, family-friendly event celebrating bear safety and coexistence in the Creston Valley, including educational booths, children’s activities, live demonstrations, and local food vendors. April 26 – Parson Spring Fling, Area A Parson
The Parson Community Hall Society will host a Spring Fling event on April 26, 2026. The event features a market at the Parson Community Park, a BBQ, concession, games, a duck race and prizes, and wraps up with an evening of live music and a family dance.

The West Kootenay Climate Hub is coordinating Earth Days 2026, a collection of events held by various community partners to celebrate planet Earth, around Nelson from March 22 to April 30, 2026. Event Information.

The Johnsons Landing Community Association will host an event series called Eat Watch Learn, between October and April, 2025, as a means to bring the community together with food, film and lively discussion during the winter months.
