The Kootenay Film Society is hosting the 7th Siding Festival of Film at the Tivoli Theatre in Creston. It will show short and feature length documentaries, short films and feature films that promote a rural theme.

Staff and volunteers are very important to the success of your non-profit. This workshop will cover the fundamentals of Human Resources, including strategies for recruiting and retaining the right staff and volunteers for your organization. From job descriptions and postings, to simple onboarding tips, to understanding the Employment Standards Act and examples of what kind of HR policies may be helpful to have on the books, this workshop will be helpful both to volunteer-run organizations and ones with staff.

This is a free workshop open to anyone in the community who has questions about grant writing, wants an introduction to grant writing or would like a refresher.
