Taghum Stop is a gas bar, convenience store and liquor agency that serves the people who live near and travel the highway west of Nelson. In operation since the mid-1950s, the stop has been owned by three brothers since 1996—brothers who have visions of redeveloping to better serve their customers.
In order to expand, the business needed to remove its underground storage tanks—no longer required thanks to a newer above-ground system—and perform an environmental assessment. To do so, it turned to CBT for financing.
“With these done, we’re now in a position to proceed with our plans for redeveloping the site sooner rather than later,” said Cam Robertson, President. “Working with CBT has been an exciting experience; we not only found someone to invest in our business, we found someone who wants to invest in us and our vision.”
