Ecosystem Enhancement
People living in Basin communities told us that maintaining and improving ecological health and native biodiversity in a variety of ecosystems is vital to them. The Trust is committed to working with organizations, communities and Indigenous peoples across the Basin to identify, plan and implement aquatic, wetland and terrestrial ecosystem enhancements; monitor the effectiveness of on-the-ground actions; and share best practices.
The Trust also supports Basin communities and non-profits address ecosystem enhancement priorities through programs like the Grassland and Rangeland Enhancement Program, the Invasive Species Partnership and the Land Conservation and Stewardship Initiative.
