The Fauquier Community Club Society will host a free Canada Day celebration on July 1, 2026, at the Fauquier Pavilion. The event will include a community pancake breakfast, children’s face painting, a bike-decorating activity, a community parade and a cake celebration.

The Village of Salmo will host their annual Canada Day Celebration on July 1 with a variety of community events including a parade, food vendors, farmers market and children’s activities. This year’s event will also celebrate Salmo’s proud history of fishing, mining and forestry.

Summer Kicks is an annual summer concert series presented by Kicking Horse Culture (KHC) in Golden, British Columbia. Music in the Park is going on its 27th season. This series consists of 9 weekly live performances on Wednesday evenings from 6-8:30pm. The performers consist of locals, (some for the first time on stage others are well known in the community) down the valley and a select few from elsewhere in BC. This event is free to the community and draws in tourists.

The Trail & District Arts Council’s Kootenay Savings Music in the Park is an annual summer concert series held in Gyro Park, Trail, British Columbia. Established in 2007, the series features a diverse lineup of local and touring artists across various genres, offering free performances to the community. The Tourism Valemount Society will host the Alpenglow Marketplace in Valemount from July 3-5, 2026, alongside the annual Alpenglow 100 trail running event. This will include children’s’ play spaces, food, and music.

The Fun Field Festival Foundation is hosting the 2026 Fun Field Festival from July 3-July 5, 2026. The event is a community, family friendly, music, arts & wellness festival held at the Wardner Community Park.

Treehugger Events Society will host Harmony Fest in Slocan on July 3-5, 2026. This family friendly event includes live music, workshops, art exhibits, and many more fun-filled activities.

This project supports the Ktunaxa Nation Council to hold its two-day Annual General Assembly at Yaqan Nukiy on July 15 & 16, 2026.
July 17 to 18 – 100th Royal Canadian Legion Birthday, Slocan
Slocan Valley Legion Branch 276 will host a two-day celebration on July 17–18, 2026,honouring the 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Legion. Events include a dinner and dance, live local music, birthday cake, pancake breakfast, bike parade, carnival activities, and community displays.
July 18 & 25 – Music in the Park, New Denver
Music in the Park (MITP) takes place in Centennial Park in New Denver, set on the shores of beautiful Slocan Lake. Held on Saturdays in July and August, the series primarily showcases Columbia Basin musicians performing live on the park’s Performance Stage. Centennial Park is also home to New Denver’s Municipal Campground, which is typically fully booked throughout the summer; campers frequently tell volunteers that they plan their stays around the MITP lineup. Scoop Steve’s, will host the Yahk River Art Walk. The event includes food trucks, arts and crafts vendors, children’s activities and live music throughout the day.

The Ymir Community Association is hosting the annual Ragnarök Festival, a free community event featuring a parade, crafts, kid’s games, concession, and live entertainment, on July 25, 2026.
July 25 to 26 – Local Palooza, Kimberley
The Kimberley Arts Council-Centre 64 is hosting the second annual Local Palooza festival in Kimberley on July 25th and 26th, this free festival will showcase local bands and musicians from Kimberley, and feature the new outdoor stage and renovated gathering space adjacent to Centre 64. There will also be family centered activities to complement the live performances.

Healthy Kimberley will host a by free “Yoga in the Park” summer series to support community wellness. The program will take place in the afternoons during June, July, and August. The goal of the program is to create a welcoming outdoor space where residents can move their bodies, reduce stress, and connect with others in the community. Event Information.
