A new BC SPCA West Kootenay Community Animal Centre will be established in Castlegar.
Animals and residents alike will benefit from the new West Kootenay Community Animal Centre. The plans for the new Castlegar facility, unveiled March 21, 2017, include specialized spaces for assessment and isolation as well as a multi-purpose space for youth and community events.
The British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (BC SPCA) received funding from the City of Castlegar, the Provincial Government, individual donors and Columbia Basin Trust. The project was funded through the Trust’s Community Development Program.
