If your organization owns a heritage building, this program may be able to help you protect and maintain the structure.
The Built Heritage Grants Program supports the preservation, rehabilitation, and/or restoration of built heritage resources in the Columbia Basin Trust region. View map here.
There are two components:
- Planning Grants for Built Heritage – the intake is open until October 6. See Who Can Apply? below.
- Built Heritage Grants – the next intake is in 2018.
The planning grants are the latest component of the program to support the conservation of built heritage assets in the region by helping organizations evaluate, assess and develop plans.
Built Heritage Grants may provide financial contributions to a broad range of heritage conservation work that directly relates to the conservation of the built heritage asset and tangibly represents its heritage values.
Built Heritage Grants and Planning Grants are funded by Columbia Basin Trust and administered and managed by Heritage BC.
Who Can Apply?
Registered non-profit societies, registered federal charities, local governments and First Nations may apply for funding. Financial contributions are not made to individuals, unregistered organizations, or private businesses.
