DESCRIPTION:October 1 to 4 – Elephant Mountain Lit Fest\, Nelson\nThe Elephant Mountain Literary Festival will include author readings that connect the public with accomplished storytellers (both local and visiting); panel discussions; workshops of various themes\, and Blue Pencil mentorship sessions that connect experienced authors with emerging writers. The festival this year will also include Newcomer Workshops\, designed to help new English speakers and immigrants get into creative writing; a literary bingo/scavenger hunt where participants seek out prompts in local businesses public areas; and a combined open mic and book fair event that will feature local authors and spoken word artists. Event Information.
