Along the way\, they will develop teamwork\, decision-making\, and critical thinking skills before pitching their ideas to a panel of expert judges in a final competition. \n\n\n\nCompletion of this program grants students eligibility to a wide array of awards\, further mentorships and opportunities. \n\n\n\nThis program will be held at the Trail Youth Action Network. Since 2016\, the festival has grown into a five-day event held annually in September\, offering a variety of activities including a bike parade\, flag-raising ceremony\, Spectrum Queer Arts Day\, workshops\, and educational sessions. Event Information. \n\n\n\nSeptember 17 – Gathering on the Land\, CranbrookThe Rocky Mountain Metis Association will host a gathering on the land on September 17\, 2026\, in Cranbrook\, supporting connection between Metis communities in the area. \n\n\n\nSeptember 24 to 26 – Massif Music Festival\, NelsonThe Massif Music Festival\, founded in 2016\, is an annual event held in Nelson\, British Columbia. The festival is dedicated to showcasing underground and underrepresented music genres\, including rock\, punk\, metal\, and alternative\, with a strong emphasis on promoting gender diversity within the heavy music scene. Typically occurring on the last weekend of September\, Massif features performances from a diverse lineup of artists\, fostering connections among musicians and fans alike. 22 of 25 performances will be happening at the Eagle’s Hall in 2026. Second\, if the project is selected to move forward\, a full application must be developed for submission.
