The Cranbrook Farmer’s Market Society is hosting a two day Winter Market at Western Financial Place on November 30 and December 1 that will feature 165 local farmers, artisans, community groups and non-profits, small businesses and food producers. Holiday Winter Market

December 3 – Kaslo Seniors’ Christmas Luncheon

The Kaslo Senior Citizens’ Association will host a Christmas luncheon at the Kaslo Legion on December 3, 2024 that will be catered by the Kaslo Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

December 4 – Merchant’s Night – New Denver

Merchant’s Night, on December 4, 2024, is an annual event in the heart of New Denver. It features a market, a ‘meet-n-greet’ with Santa and food.

December 6 – Light-Up the Hospitals! Pledge Day 2024 – Trail

The Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital & Health Foundation Society will host Light-Up the Hospital! Pledge Day 2024, their single largest fundraising day, at Waneta Plaza in Trail.

December 7 – Rossland Rekindle

Rekindle is an annual community event in Rossland that celebrates the start of the holiday season with a variety of fun, family-friendly activities.

December 7 – Annual Christmas Craft Fair – Wynndel

The Wynndel Community Centre’s Annual Christmas Craft Fair features local artists, crafters, and food makers, along with face painting and photos with Santa.

December 7 – Sculpturewalk’s Night of Fire – Castlegar

The Castlegar Sculpturewalk Society will host their third annual Night of Fire event with a purpose-built, large-scale wooden sculpture (reclaimed materials) that will be burned onsite at Geronazzo Pit, Millennium Park, Castlegar on December 7, 2024.

December 7 – Burton Volunteer Fire Department Christmas Fundraiser

The Burton Community Association is hosting its 13th annual Fireman’s Ball, an event the whole community looks forward to each year.

Summit Community Services Society and Seniors Helping Seniors will host the Seniors Christmas Luncheon on December 11, 2024.

December 11 – 15 – West Creston Candy Cane Lane

Candy Cane Lane will be held from December 11-15 at the West Creston Community Hall, and includes a craft sale featuring local vendors, a children’s choir performance, refreshments, cookies, and a Sunday lunch.

The Salmo District Arts Council will partner with the Salmo Valley Youth & Community Centre to host a musical performance and an art workshop at the Community Solstice/Winter Holiday gathering on

The Lardeau Valley Community Club will host their annual Community Christmas Dinner with Santa, as well as a fundraising raffle on December 14, 2024.

The Edgewater Legion is hosting a Community Dinner on December 15, 2024, for Seniors, veterans, & any other adult wishing to come.

The Field Recreation Advisory Association is hosting their annual Christmas Potluck on December 15, 2024.

December 17 – Solstice Party

The West Kootenay Women’s Association will throw an inclusive Solstice celebration for all of their service clientele, families, members, and volunteers on December 17, 2024.

December 21 – Winter Solstice Party – Trout Lake

The Trout Lake Community Club will host a 2024 Winter Solstice party on Decemeber 21, 2024.

December 21 – Concert and Seasonal Sing-along – Vallican

On December 21, 2024, hosted in partnership with the Vallican Whole Community Choir, the Vallican Whole Community Centre and the Grassroots Grammas, this family event includes a choir performance, group caroling and fun for all.

December 21 – Argenta Yuletide Market and Christmas Dinner

The Argenta Community Association will host its annual Argenta Christmas Market on November 30, 2024, featuring local vendors, local food and square dancing with a local band. Then they will host their community Christmas Dinner on December 21, 2024.

The Yahk-Kingsgate Recreational Society’s Christmas dinner is an annual event that fosters community spirit, ensures no one spends the holidays alone, and includes meal deliveries for those unable to attend.

Revelstoke’s free Community Christmas Dinner is held on Christmas Day and open to all, promoting inclusivity, community, happiness, and holiday cheer.
