May 3 – Future of East Kootenay Grasslands and Rangelands Symposium
Columbia Mountains Institute for Applied Ecology will host a Symposium from May 1-3, 2025, to create space for a multi-disciplinary group to tell stories, share knowledge and explore ideas and solutions for improving grassland and rangeland health in the East Kootenay.
May 3 – Missing and Murdered Indigenous People March – Cranbrook
ʔaq̓am Health and Wellness will host a MMIP March on Saturday, May 3, 2025, beginning at Rotary park in Cranbrook where they will set up booths with resources and information, have guest speakers and drummers performing.
May 11 – Winter’s Glow/Spring’s Flow
The Procter Community Society will host Winter’s Glow/Spring’s Flow, a series of events to fend off the winter blues by bring the community together with laughter and fun, such as Christmas community dinner, a talent show, Solstice Bonfire, January Bingo, Valentines party and Women She Shines. It all starts with their Christmas Craft Fair on November 30, 2024.
May 17 – 19 – Yaqan Nuʔkiy Pow Wow 2025
Yaqan Nuʔkiy will be hosting their annual traditional Pow Wow from May 17-19, 2025. This event is a cultural celebration and community gathering.
