One of the Trust’s strategic priorities, as identified in the Columbia Basin Management Plan Strategic Priorities 2016-2020, is recreation and physical activity. Through the Our Trust, Our Future community engagement process, residents articulated support for recreation infrastructure including: walking, hiking, biking and cross-country ski trails and access to natural assets. Through the Recreation Infrastructure Program, the Trust increased and enhanced built recreation infrastructure available to Basin residents to improve individual physical health and well-being and promote aspects of community, economic and social well-being.
The Trust is exploring a potential role to enhance parks, trails and recreation sites in the Basin. Your answers to these questions will help guide the discussion on the development of the Trust’s role in this area.
